Producer Venkata Satish Kilaru said it is his fortune to debut as a producer with Ram Charan for the rural action drama Peddi. He stated that from the title cards to the climax, audiences will stay fully engaged without leaving their seats, as the film is packed with all the commercial and emotional elements viewers expect.
He revealed that the movie was made on a grand scale within the planned budget. The entire team worked with positive energy throughout the shoot. According to him, both Ram Charan and director Buchi Babu Sana became emotional on the final day of shooting.
Peddi Production Journey
Coming from an agricultural family, Satish said he entered films through his close friend Naveen after initially working in the construction field. He added that the Venkata Satish Kilaru Peddi production journey was smooth without major challenges.
Talking about the story, he praised Buchi Babu’s narration and said the film offers a complete package of emotions, action, and commercial entertainment. He especially highlighted Ram Charan’s dedication, saying the actor trained for nearly two years, worked through injuries, and even returned to shooting immediately after getting stitches near his eye.
Satish also praised A. R. Rahman, calling him a legendary composer who became highly excited after hearing the story and worked in great detail on the music. He said the songs have already received an excellent response from audiences.
Trailer and Business Prospects
Regarding the film’s business, he confirmed that all deals have been closed successfully. He also promised that the trailer would raise expectations even further and said the movie would exceed all hype surrounding it.
He clarified that Sukumar was not directly involved in the making after the initial story discussions, and that Buchi Babu handled the film completely. He also praised actors like Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu Sharma, and Boman Irani, saying every character has strong importance in the story.
Satish appreciated cinematographer R. Rathnavelu for delivering stunning visuals for the 1980s-based backdrop. He said the team created a unique world for the film using large sets and real locations like Sri Lanka, Pune, and Delhi.
Finally, Venkata Satish Kilaru said the Peddi team is very confident because of the film’s strong content. He revealed that his next production with Nandamuri Balakrishna is already in progress.
